About Us

Clean Sweep Chimney Service is a full-service, owner-operated chimney sweeping and repair company founded in February of 1991 by owner Dennis Bishop.

Dennis was the first F.I.R.E (Fireplace, Investigation, Research, and Education Service) certified fireplace inspector in the state of Connecticut and is a CSIA (Chimney Safety Institute of America) certified chimney sweep.

Additionally, Dennis graduated from the Aherns Masonry Restoration School held at Southwest Technical College in Pipestone Minnesota.

Education Makes the Difference

Our goal is to educate our clients about proper use of their fireplaces, furnaces, solid fuel burning appliances, and chimney systems, while providing the best possible service and repairs for those systems. To reach this goal we are dedicated to taking advantage of the continuing education available to us through our professional trade associations. We have made a personal commitment to attend at least two conventions, workshops, training schools or seminars every year to provide us with the expertise to serve our clients needs with the latest technology and tools of our trade.
